L'Auberge de nos Aieux was established in May 1950 by Alexis Tremblay and his dear
wife, Cécile. Over the years, this inn has expanded to what has now become a
family enterprise.
At first, we had only 9 rooms, a living room and a dining room; in 1956, 5 motel units
were built and 4 years later, 2 more units were added.

With Expo '67 came the decision to build 6 more motel units.
The expansion proved to be positive, and in 1970, 8 new units were added to the East side of the Auberge

Since 1980, much capital and time has been invested in landscape development such as the swimming
pool area, with rockery, trees and shrubs carefully planted throughout the grounds. A terrace offers a breathtaking
view of the river.
For our artist/painter guests, we have constructed a studio,
Le Pavillon des Artistes that allows master classes to be given

Over the years our family business has consistantly grown, allowing us to invest time and capitaal for the sole purpose of satisfying our increasing clientele.
Today the Auberge offers 50 rooms all with outstanding views of the St-Lawrence River and the dramatic north shore landscape. Still owned by The Tremblay family Henriette, Georges-Albert and Alain make it their priority to develop
and embellish the family domain.
